The Moves of a Teacher’s Pet
The Moves of a Teacher’s Pet
Going
over the lines and making extra efforts just to win someone’s favor. It’s like
begging and fishing for their approval to get what we have wanted. A teacher’s pet is the type of person who
kisses up the hands of a teacher, professor or dean by doing a bunch of things
in the hope of getting a good grade.
A
teacher’s pet can be categorized into two categories, the low-key and the
high-key type. A low-key type brings the waves in silence and not so hidden but
demure like moves and the high-key type will bring the waves in high tide and
can be easily seen.
The low-key type would sneak like a thief that comes in silence but then
that person is already gaining your favor. For example, complementing out of
the blue and saying cliché things out at a normal pace just not to be found by
his or her classmates. We cannot deny the fact that even when if we don’t like
that person, once he or she would start to compliment the teacher even just in
small ways, there would be a touch of change in their feelings with that
student. Also, the low-key type will acknowledge little things that a teacher
will do. It’s like reading the teacher’s heart, mind, and even small gestures
that they could tell they only acknowledge it and thinking now what would be
best to reply to that situation just to win them.
Being a high-key teacher’s pet can be easily found. Their gestures and
the things they have done can is too blunt. For example, buying her or his
teachers favorite stuff, oftentimes bringing food to the teacher, always
complimenting both in public and private, raising always his or her hand in
class, acts like he or she is interested in the lesson even in reality he or
she doesn’t even like it, and the worst one is when the involvement of parents
will happen. It’s when the parents would start to kiss the hands of the teacher
also, like giving them gifts or treating them even on no special occasions.
But
here’s the catch, some may do beyond things which you wouldn’t think just to
win someone’s favor. Or they could be a half low-key and half high-key type.
Being a teacher’s pet is like drifting from the capacities of yourself as you
started to lower than your quality just to gain someone’s favor. It’s like
giving yourself the chance to go back in the stairs you have climbed up.
Being
on a school with those rampaging things needed to do, but it’s just a matter of
how you can cope with the flux of it. Therefore, raise your glass and be not a person
who wanted to fish someone’s favor.
