out of 5,574 takers passed the August 2024 Medical Technologist
Licensure Examination (MedTech) given by PRC Board of Medical Technology.
The two-day examination was administered on August 6 and 7, 2024 (Tuesday and Wednesday) in several testing venues in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cebu and Davao.
The PRC Professional Board of Medical Technology, chaired by Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza, and its member, Dr. Leila Lany M. Florento, conducted the examination.

Clinical Microscopy (Urinalysis and other Body Fluids) (10%)

e. Blood Banking and Serology (20%)
f. Histopathologic Techniques, Cytotechnology, Medical Technology Laws, Related Laws and its Implementing Rules, and the Code of Ethics (10%)
PASSING SCORE
To pass the examination, a candidate must get an overall average of at least 75% on the written test, with no rating lower than 50% in any of the major subjects: As long as the candidate does not fail at least 60% of the subjects based on their relative weights.
Those
who did not pass the examination but had a general rating of at least 70% might
still register as Medical Laboratory Technicians.
VERIFICATION OF RATING
The verification of ratings and test results for the August 2024 Medical Technologist Licensure Exam (MTLE) given by the PRC Board of Medical Technology will be available via an online portal.
