Nowadays,
many writers/publishers ask for help on how to unblock their website URL from
Facebook because of the spreading of spam or unwanted content.
This
year, Facebook has become so strict in implementing its community standards
against spammy content leading to block several websites.
Facebook
defined spam as:
a. Repeating
the same post/comment;
b. Getting
fake likes, follows, shares or video views; and
c. Coordinating
likes and shares to mislead others about the popularity of something.
We
have to admit that to promote our articles/content, we need to utilize our
social media and one of them is Facebook. Most bloggers publish their articles
several times in one day or they will create another Facebook account with the
same IP address and paste the same article or website link on the different Facebook
groups.
If
you’re an honest blogger who did not violate the community standards and still
block your website without a valid reason, then you’re not alone. Even big
websites from the United States like Buzzfeed
and USA Today suffered from massive
bugs in their news feed spam filter causing their websites to be blocked from
being shared as posts or comments.
According
to Guy Rosen,VP, Product Management from Facebook in his twitter account, “We’re on this – this is a bug in an
anti-spam system, unrelated to any changes in our content moderator workforce.
We’re in the process of fixing and bringing all these posts back. More soon.”

Oh
no! I got my URL blocked by Facebook, what should I do??
Now,
there is no go-around on how you can get your website to unblock by a third
party, it should definitely be Facebook to get your website or URL unblock.
Without
further ado, let’s start on fixing on how to unblock website URL from Facebook.
1.
Use
Facebook Debugger
I
know Facebook will recommend this tool just to confirm if your website has been
blocked or not.
Under Facebook Debugger, type your website link and then click the “Debug” button.
Now
if your website is blocked by Facebook you will get this message: “We can’t review this website because the
content doesn’t meet our Community Standards. If you think this is a mistake,
please let us know”.
Click
the phrase “please let us know”, if
you want to explain further why Facebook made a mistake or error.
In
my case, I was blocked on July 25, 2020, and got a resume on the following day.
Just a tip though in chatting with them always chat with respect and inform
them that you did not violate any guidelines in all honesty.
One
more thing, never allow anyone to access your Facebook page/Facebook account,
website and AdSense account in exchange for fixing your issues whether in cash
or kind.
Several
worried publishers posted their problems in social media and someone will offer
a solution by saying “INBOX me I will fix
it!” or PM me I have a solution”
and then they will offer their services by paying dollars.
My
observation is that Facebook discourages us to keep on posting the same link over
and over again instead they will encourage us to run your link using their Facebook
ads.
