Poisoning is something that many dog owners are concerned with and your dog unfortunately could be poisoned by many things. 

Pets could perhaps inhale, roll or eat a poison. Therefore, the dog owner does need to be vigilant about what environments their dogs are in.

For instance, if your dog goes into your garden shed they could unfortunately accident knock over poisons such as rat poison. If your dog consumes poison, it can kill your dog very quickly.

In the past few years, they have been cases of dogs dying why is this viral news it could be your pet next if numerous cases of “Lanit” or Lannate Insecticide poisoning in dog food.

The said viral news in social media happened in San Pedro Village in Davao City. It was posted by Azia Kissy Tong on her Facebook account where a certain guard named “Lisa” poisoned 4 stray dogs in the village.

Lisa received numerous complaints from neighbors about stray dogs in the village that could block runners to pass by which prompted her to poison these dogs.

Netizens and dog-lover cried for justice for these four-stray dogs. Lisa’s act of poisoning an animal is a blatant form of animal cruelty under Republic Act 8484 as amended by RA 10631 or the Animal Welfare Act of 1998.

Under the said law, any person who committed animal cruelty regardless of the resulting condition to the animals could be penalized for a maximum of three years imprisonment or a fine not exceeding Php250,000.
