Seven (7) Things Why You Should Date a Police Officer

Have you started dating a police officer, and you’re not really sure what to expect? These are the top seven things why you need to date a police cop.

1. You’re going to be extremely flexible and independent.

If you’re used to relationships with any degree of consistency, take note that it won’t happen in this relationship.

Your police cop is going to be on his duty – from night shifts, overtime shifts, sudden deployments, and occasional search operations. His or her emotional exhaustion from their mission would probably want to make them sleep or play video games when it’s their day off.

It makes you want to perform most of your alone time. You’ll be adapting to all the crazy situations that would pop up. Probably you’ll be enjoying your alone time.

2. Even when the police cop ends his or her duty, it won’t leave him or her.

There may be chances that he/she would complain about the drivers committing violations around him/her when you’re driving around with your officer.

Oh, and when you’re in a store, and you start talking to him or her, thinking he or she is right next to you, but when you look over, your boyfriend or girlfriend is gone? He or she probably darted down a different aisle because he or she might have arrested a crook without you seeing it.

It’s a cliché but once a police officer, always a police officer.

3. You won’t always know everything about how their day went.

Police officers don’t always like to talk about how their day went. Sometimes they might feel “attacked” when you ask them, “How was your day?” as they may have a horrible day.

Like, not just “It was busy” or “I got stuck in traffic,” but more like “I saw something I’ll never, ever forget that changed who I am as a person” kind of thing.

You’ll have to learn how to let them process things on their own. Eventually, you’ll get comfortable with not always knowing the particulars of what’s disturbing them.

4. You feel secured.

Dating a cop who daily interacts with crooks gives you a certain level of security and safety compared to regular guys. You can expect him or her to protect you in a violent situation. Dating a policeman who is fresh off duty also means he or she have their guns with them. But of course, there are laws which prevent them from bringing such things regularly.

5. Your police cop will have a good heart

These people work long hours, and the nature of their work requires maintaining a high moral character. The highest reward for a police officer is to see the tremendously positive effects that he adds to the neighborhood.

6. Your police cop will be strong

A police cop must be courageous and calm – knowing that the nature of their job requires sacrificing his or her life on the line of duty every single day. He or she will be able to face fear better than an ordinary citizen. He or she would be able to respond to a scary situation calmly.

Dating a cop would likewise mean you will always have a reliable person to assist you in anything from carrying groceries, heavy objects, or moving boxes.

7. Your police cop will be a critical thinker

Police cops would require being a critical thinker in making decisions in a short time, and assert himself or herself in resolving common issues effectively. Hence, you can expect him or her to have that train at home to have an efficient household.

Your partner could be reliable, sweet, and trustworthy. However, it takes a great deal of mental and physical strength to overcome the dangers of being a part of law enforcement life. However, self-discipline and lots of self-preparation are all you need when you’re ready to date a police cop.
