October 2024 Physician Licensure Examination Results
The Professional
Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that out of 6,600 only 3,845 (58,27%)
passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of
Medicine in N.C.R., Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi,
Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last October 2024.
The October 2024 PLE
result will be released in four (4) working days from the last day of the
examination in accordance with Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Resolution No. 1891
entitled Revised Schedule of Licensure Examinations for October to December 2024.
The four-day examination
was administered separately on October 5-6, 2024, and October 12-13,
2024, in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu,
Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The October 2024 PLE were
administered by the PRC Professional Board of Medicine, which was led by Chairperson
Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio and members comprised of Drs. Godofreda V. Dalmacion,
Eleanor B. Almoro, Martha O. Nucum, Efren C. Laxamana, and Joanna V. Remo.
In the second quarter of this year, the PRC announced that only 1,906 (55.55%) examinees passed the Physicians Licensure Exam out of the 3,434 takers.

SCHEDULE OF INITIAL REGISTRATION FOR NEW PHYSICIANS
From November 25, 2024, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done online. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those
who will register are required to bring the following:
a) Downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, Notice of Admission (for identification only);
b)
2 Pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and
complete name tag);
c) 2 sets of documentary stamps; and
d) 1-piece short brown envelope.
Successful
examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered
Professionals.
PLE PASSING SCORE (%)
To become a physician, an
examinee must obtain a general average of seventy-five percent (75%)
with no grade lower than fifty percent in any subject.
Examinee who fails for the
third time in the complete or final examinations will be required to take a refresher
course prescribed by the Board of Medical Examiners of at least one (1)
year in a recognized medical school or college before he could be allowed
to take subsequent examinations.
PLE VERIFICATION OF RATING
The verification of ratings and exam results for the October 2024 PLE given by the PRC Professional Board of Medicine will be available via an PRC online portal.
