How to avail the PNP Scholarship Program 2024?
A scholarship offered by Philippine National Police (PNP) is a financial aid or assistance given to deserving beneficiaries, students and PNP personnel for them to be able to continue their education in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the PNP and the University/Colleges. The educational assistance offered to qualified PNP personnel and dependents is a matter of privilege and not a right, hence, subject to certain conditions and qualifications.
Who are the members of PNP Educational Assistance Committee?
The Police Regional Office PEAC shall screen, evaluate and deliberate all applications for educational assistance program prior to submission to the PEAC for approval /confirmation.

So what are the scholarship program offered by the PNP and other allied institution?
1. PNP Educational Assistance Program (PNP EAP)
The PNP Educational Assistance Program provides educational assistance to PNP personnel and their dependents. It also provides the management with the means to support education beneficial to both the PNP personnel and their dependents.

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENT
This application form should be submitted together with the following:
For PNP Members:
1. Duly accomplished PRO Educational Assistance Program (EAP) Form
2. PNP PDS
3. Report Card for High School Graduate Transcript of Records for those who have
acquired units in College
4. Clearances: (RLS, RIAS, R7)
For PNP Dependents:
1. Duly accomplished PRO Educational Assistance Program (EAP) Application Form
2. Bio-Data
3. Birth Certificate (NSO)
4. Report Card for High School Graduate/Transcript of Record for those who have acquired units in College
5. Certification from the Barangay (Certifying that he/she is a resident of the barangay)
6. Good Moral Certificate from the Church
7. PNP PDS (Sponsor PNP member)
8. Clearances of Sponsor (RLS, RIAS,R7)
2. Rewards Educational Assistance Program (REAP)
The Rewards Educational Assistance Program shall be availed of within 5 years from the date of accomplishment and/or from the conferment of the award/recognition.
RECIPIENTS:
For Active PNP Personnel
a.) Wounded in action awarded with the Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting but not permanently incapacitated that merits recognition of their laudable accomplishment;
b.) Granted special promotion;
c.) Recipient of any of the following awards:
-Medalya ng Kagalingan, Kabayanihan and Katapangan;
-Outstanding Individual Award Category in relation to the PNP and/or Unit Anniversary at the NHQ, PROs, NSUs, NCRPO District levels, such as but not limited to:
– Outstanding Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) of the Year for Operation;
– Outstanding Senior PCO of the Year for Administration;
– Outstanding Junior PCO of the Year;
– Outstanding Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) of the Year;
– Outstanding Junior PNCO of the Year;
– Outstanding NUP of the Year (Non-Supervisory Level).
For Dependents
Dependents of Active PNP Personnel who are graduated Valedictorian or Salutatorian from elementary or high school for the current year.
Source of Funds
The fund support of this program sourced from the remittances of Special Group Term Plan (SGTI) Experience Refund from Public Safety Mutual Benefit Funds Inc (PSMBFI) and other partner institutions/offices/agencies.
3. PDLT-SMART Foundation College Education Assistance
The PLDT-SMART Foundation (PSF) donated Three Million Five Hundred Forty Thousand Pesos (P3.54M) worth of scholarships to children of Philippine National Police (PNP) officers who were killed or injured while on duty.
Who are qualified?
It is an overly stated phrase that scholarship is not a right but a mere privilege subject to certain conditions imposed or implemented by the institution. In accepting application under this program, only those who are dependent of uniformed PNP personnel Killed or Wound in Police Operation (KIPO/WIPO), personnel with Total Physical Permanent Disability (TPPD) and those dependent of PNP Personnel (Active PNCO) who graduated in the secondary level with honors (TOP 10) can avail with limited slots.
If you are qualified, then you are required to submit documentary requirements in white folder with tabbings to Chief, RPHRDD (Attn: Morale Welfare Section)
a.) Requirements for PNP personnel KIPO, WIPO and TPPD:
1. Line of Duty (LOD) Report and Investigation Report;
2. Death Certificate (Photocopy);
3. Authenticated Medical Report and TPPD Order;
4. Birth Certificate of Applicant (PSA Authenticated);
5. Marriage Contract of Parent (PSA Authenticated);
6. Back to back Photocopy of ID of Applicant and PNP personnel (PNP ID);
7. Certified True Copy of Form 138 (Report Card) and Diploma (Photocopy)
8. Authenticated Enrollment receipt of school or confirmation where he/she enrolled;
9. Two latest 2×2 picture of applicant and the PNP personnel;
10. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the school last attend; and
11. The grantee must have no failing grades.
b.) Requirements for dependent of PNP personnel (Active PNCO) who excel academically (Valedictorian, Salutatorian or with honors):
1. Endorsement from Unit;
2. Birth Certificate of Applicant (PSA Authenticated);
3. Marriage Contract of Parent (PSA Authenticated);
4. Back to back Photocopy of ID of Applicant and PNP personnel (PNP ID);
5. Certified True Copy of Form 138 (Report Card) and Diploma (Photocopy)
6. Authenticated Enrollment receipt of school or confirmation where he/she enrolled;
7. Certificate of Award of the student applicant from school
(If Valedictorian, Salutatorian or with honor);
8. Non-Pending Case/Duty Status of PNP personnel;
9. Two latest 2×2 picture of applicant and the PNP personnel;
10. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the school last attend; and
11. The grantee must have and/or maintain grades not lower that 85% or its equivalent in all subject.
4. PSSLAI Scholarship Grant
The Public Safety Savings and Loan Association, Inc offers all expenses-paid scholarship exclusive not only to the members of the PNP but also to Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) uniformed personnel in active service
As of now, PSSLAI offered one (1) year course in Professional Diploma in Family Ministries (Guidance Counseling) at the Ateneo De Manila University. The applicant shall comply with the following requirements:
1. Letter of Intent (LOI)
2. Transcript of Records (TOR)
3. Updated Personal Data Sheet (PDS)

5. NAPOLCOM Scholarship Program
Who are qualified under the NAPOLCOM Scholarship Program?
All legitimate and or illegitimate children of any uniformed PNP member who is killed or permanently incapacitated directly caused by or on account of police action or operation or while assisting in a police military action. It excludes from its coverage death or permanently disability due to natural causes even if service connected.
Benefits
Tuition and miscellaneous expenses, which shall not exceed the following amounts
1. Php 10,000.00 for Kindergarten scholar per school yea
2. Php 18,000.00 for Elementary education scholar per school year
3. Php 24,000.00 for Secondary education scholar per school year
4. Php 18,000.00 for Vocational scholar per semester
5. Php 30,000.00 for College Scholar per semester
What requirements should be submitted for application?
Application for scholarship grant shall be filed with the Office of the NAPOLCOM Regional Director where the applicant resides and supported by the following in at least three (3) copies:
1. Letter of application addressed to the NAPOLCOM Regional Director concerned;
2. Certified True Copy of the NAPOLCOM Adjudication Award;
3. Birth Certificate of the Applicant duly authenticated by the Local Civil Registrar or issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
4. Report Cards, Diploma, Transcript of Records, if applicable, and enrollment assessment receipt; and
5. Two (2) Certificate of Good Moral Character.
PROCEDURES:
The NAPOLCOM Regional Director upon receipt of the application shall:
1. Schedule an interview of the applicant;
2. Evaluate the application with its supporting documents to determine if applicant is qualified; and
3. Submit report of evaluation and approval of the scholarship application together with a recommendation to the NAPOLCOM Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer (VCEO) through the Legal Affairs Service (LAS) of the Central Office for initial payment.
The Legal Affairs Service (LAS) within fifteen (15) days from receipt of the records, shall evaluate the same, prepare and submit the corresponding Memorandum/Resolution to the VCEO for approval of payment.
WEIGHTED AVERAGE
No weighted average is required to be maintained. However, the grantee is required to pass all the subjects every specified curriculum period or semester. The grantee shall submit to the Commission through the Regional Director every end of the semester, report of his/her studies which contain among other the following:
a) Subject completed with the corresponding grades and weights in units
b) Other matters pertinent to the scholarship which may be requested from time to time by the Commission.
The grantee shall take full load units as prescribed by the course every semester or specified curriculum periods. The scholarship grant shall be forfeited if the grantee obtains failing grades in any of the subjects to which he is enrolled for two (2) consecutive semesters or specified curriculum periods.
LIMITATIONS
This grant shall not apply to post graduate (4-year) courses including courses leading to the Degree of Doctor of Medicine and similar courses. Any grantee who has been expelled from the school for valid cause shall lose his scholarship privilege.
6. AFP-PNP Savings and Loan Association Inc. (AFPSLAI) Scholarship and Educational Assistance Program
Sponsor
An AFPSLAI regular member in good standing with aggregate family income not exceeding Php 950,000.00.
Who are qualified?
1. Legitimate / Illegitimate or legally adopted child of married/unmarried sponsor
2. In the absence of children, legitimate / illegitimate or legally adopted brother or sister of single / unmarried sponsor
3. Must be an incoming first year college student
For Vocational/Technical Course, applicant must be a high school graduate.
Benefits and Privileges
Tuition/Matriculation/Other fees:
– not exceeding Php 30,000.00 per school term
– not exceeding Php 10,000.00 per summer/midyear as required by the curriculum
Books reimbursement
-not exceeding Php 2,000.00 per school term
Stipend
– Php 4,000.00 per month
Board and lodging assistance
-not exceeding Php 2,000.00 per month as necessary (for those enrolled in a state college or university)
ROTC Incentives
– Php 2,000.00 per month within a semester where the ROTC Program was enrolled.

7. GSIS Scholarship Program
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is now accepting applications for the 10,000 GSIS Educational Subsidy Program (GESP) slots for the 2024-2025 academic year.
GSIS
Educational Subsidy Program (GESP) is a financial assistance program available
to dependents of qualified program participants enrolling in any year level at
a Commission on Higher Education (CHED) certified private or state college or
university.
Active members with permanent status are eligible to nominate grantees for GESP. Their salary grade must be 24 (or lower), and premium payments must be updated. Furthermore, for the term of the GESP grant, they must have no underpaid or unpaid loan amortization of more than three months.
To apply, eligible GSIS members must submit the properly filled-out application
form; original or certified true copy of the student’s birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority; certificate of employment or certified true copy of service record duly signed by the member’s agency authorized officer; and certification from the school that the student is enrolled in the current academic year, the duration of the course, and the student’s year level.
