Senator Revilla seeks to modify the rank classification in BJMP
The
Senate
Bill No. 1201 seeks to modify the rank classification
of the personnel of the Bureau of Jail and Penology. This is in consonance with
the enactment of Republic Act No. 11200,
otherwise known as An Act Providing for
the Rank Classification in the Philippine National Police, Amending for the
Purpose Section 28 of Republic Act No. 6975, as amended in June 2019.
The
proposed measure filed Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr aims to minimize confusion
and enhance public’s understanding of the different bureaus. Furthermore, this
bill seeks to enhance efficiency in inter-agency operations, in general.
