Gratuity pay for job orders and contractual government workers

Good news! for job order and contractual workers in government.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has approved the release of a maximum Php3,000 gratuity pay for government workers engaged through job orders and contract of service.

Under Administrative Order No. 38 dated December 28, 2020, the gratuity pay will be given to these government workers as well as the served recognition for their hard work this year.

Those who have rendered services for at least four (4) months before December 15, 2020, will receive a one-time gratuity pay of Php3,000 maximum. On the other hand, workers who have rendered services for less than four (4) months of the same period will receive one-time gratuity pay not exceeding Php2,000.

The said order covers national government agencies, state universities and colleges, government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), and government financial institutions.

Meanwhile, other government workers like Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) have already received their annual bonuses which include Productivity Enhancement Incentives (PEI), Year-End bonus and one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI).

However, SRI for DepEd teachers is expected to release to next year.
