DepEd Teachers to receive Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) in 2024

This season of giving and also the time when many DepEd teachers wait anxiously for their incentives especially the recently approved Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) FY 2024.

Annalyn M. Sevilla, Education Undersecretary for Finance, posted an update on her Facebook page on December 17, 2022, regarding the grant of service recognition incentives for government employees in the executive department (including DepEd teachers).

UPDATE: (As of December 20, 2022)

“ADVISORY ON THE GRANT OF FY 2022 SERVICE RECOGNITION INCENTIVE (SRI) as approved by our Vice President/Secretary Sara Duterte (VPSD):

Sub-aro from Central office on Personal Services savings will be issued tomorrow to the field, while the modification of MOOE 2022 for SRI will also be submitted to the Department of Budget and Management, for the approval of the latter.

DepEd Central Office Finance will process the request for modification to DBM, release of allotment and cash to the field asap.

2022 SRI is a one time grant which shall be covered by 2 sub-AROs to all regions. The 1st sub-ARO will be released today @ php9k for every qualified employee and the final sub-ARO (for the remaining @php6k) after DepEd Central Office’s (CO) receipt of the SARO  from the DBM (as a response to our request for modification from MOOE to PS).

Cash back up will be prepared by the CO (thru NTA) for those ROs/SDOs with LBP accounts while for non-LBP, NCA will be released by their DBM-RO counterpart upon submission of their request for the purpose. Thank you.”

DepEd Final SRI Amount: ₱15,000

Date of Release: Not earlier than December 20, 2022 but not later than January 6, 2023.

Malacañang announced on Saturday that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has signed the administrative order providing service incentives and rice allowances to government workers.

The President’s Administrative Order authorizes the grant of a one-time SRI at a uniform rate of not exceeding ₱20,000 to those working in the executive branch.

The incentive is available to all civilian employees of NGAs, including those working in state SUCs and GOCCs on a regular, contractual, or casual basis, as well as members of the armed forces and the police, as well as firefighters and jail guards employed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
