The Professional
Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the results of the March 2025
Physician Licensure Examination (PLE). Out of 7,315 examinees, only #,###
(##.##%) passed. The exams were conducted in multiple cities, including Manila
(NCR), Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and more.
The March 2025 PLE results
were officially released within four working days after the last exam date,
following PRC Resolution No. 1927 (Schedule
of Licensure Examinations for the Year 2025).
The Board of Medicine
administered the four-day PLE on March 30-31 and April 6-7, 2025,
across 13 testing centers, including Manila (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro,
Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao,
and Zamboanga.
The March 2025 PLE were
administered by the PRC Professional Board of Medicine, which was led by Chairperson
Dr. Efren C. Laxamana and members comprised of Drs. Godofreda V. Dalmacion,
Martha O. Nucum, Zenaida L. Antonio, Prudencio Z. Sta. Lucia, Jr., and Joanna
V. Remo.

The
March 2025 PLE covered 12 major medical subjects, divided into four exam

SCHEDULE OF INITIAL REGISTRATION FOR NEW PHYSICIANS
From May to June 2025,
registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and
Certificate of Registration will be done online. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow
instructions for initial registration.
Those
who will register are required to bring the following:
a)
Downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,
Notice
of Admission (for identification only);
b)
2 Pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and
complete name tag);
c)
2 sets of documentary stamps; and
d)
1-piece short brown envelope.
PLE PASSING SCORE
To become a physician, an
examinee must obtain a general average of seventy-five percent (75%)
with no grade lower than fifty percent in any subject.
Examinee who fails for the
third time in the complete or final examinations will be required to take a refresher
course prescribed by the Board of Medical Examiners of at least one (1)
year in a recognized medical school or college before he could be allowed
to take subsequent examinations.

The
verification of ratings and exam results for the March 2025 PLE given by
the PRC Professional Board of Medicine will be available via an PRC online portal.
