COVID-19 Hazard Pay (CHP) for PNP Frontliners

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issues Administrative Order No. 43 on June 2, 2021 authorizing the grant of hazard pay to government personnel who physically report for work during the period of implementation under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and and Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) relative to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Personnel with regular, contractual, or casual positions, or engaged through contract of service (COS) or job order (JO) are qualified for the grant.

Administrative Order No. 43 (AO 43) modifies AO 26 granting a COVID-19 hazard pay (CHP) of Php500 per day to PNP personnel who physically report for work.

The AO 43 allows heads of government agencies to grant CHP to their employees without requiring further approval from the Department of Budget Management (DBM), as long as the employees are physically present at their respective offices or work stations during the prescribed official working hours.
